Alongside with Escola de Moda do Porto, Escola de Moda Gudi sought us out to help them increase their brand visibility in the digital world. Although the two projects were closely linked between them, we wanted to distance Gudi from Escola de Moda do Porto by creating an identity that was more dynamic, youthful, and fresh. The outcome was a fashion-forward website that appeals to young students with a bold identity and light-hearted irreverence.

 

Vibrant colors pulsing with energy.

To create a vibrant color palette, we used a base of neutral tones, but spiced it up with a splash of orange and purple to cut through monotony. The prominent use of these vibrant colors and rough textures were the identity's focal point and helped us increase the distinctiveness and - as a result - brand recognition.

Bold creativity in each detail.

While navigating through this website, it becomes clear that the main idea is to instantly transport users into a groundbreaking atmosphere for which students are a cornerstone. This dynamism is further highlighted by a sleek mouse cursor, morphing shapes, and disruptive illustrations that set this website apart from other fashion schools.

A great mobile experience for a younger generation.

As Gudi's target audience are young students that are now constantly using their phones for a variety of purposes, we focused on creating a great mobile experience with an easy and quick navigation system.
With only a few clicks, users can find all fashion programs and sign up for their favorite ones.

Disruptive illustrations for abstract concepts.

As fashion designers use collages to build campaigns, lookbooks, and mood boards, we’ve got inspired by this artistic technique to design the ultimate fashion illustrations.
Juxtaposing photographic images, colors, and fabric swatches allowed us to create an overall theme for each Gudi’s course.
This helped us set the right tone and personality to the UI and to better communicate abstract concepts like modeling, confection, and even marketing.
All in all, we craft the whole user experience by using collages as a vehicle to define communication style.

Students as advocates.

With a jovial but empowering tone, we created a short video that was successful in putting a spotlight on the fierce and ambitious minds of Gudi's young students. Hosted on the website, it highlights the substantial collaboration between students and teachers that the school strives so much to uphold.
We’re proud of the final result as it took viewers on a visual journey through Gudi’s core values, while subtly promoting it.
